O Holy Night Update

I've made just a little progress on this over the past few weeks.  I must have Spring Fever, cuz I want to stitch on anything but this one! : )  -- Tricia

We Interrupt this Get It Done Project...

Oh dear.  I got sidetracked from my Nativity for the last couple of weeks.  First by a sore neck and shoulders and then by the gift of Lizzie Kate's Spring Alphabet chart from Linda that I just HAD to start!  Here's my pitiful progress since the end of February...

Wow!  It's been three weeks since I posted!  Here's my end of month update pictures.

I'm glad that I'm backstitching as I go.  It takes extra time, but it sure adds life to the piece!

O Holy Night Progress

Hi everyone!  Isn't this fun to keep us going on our projects??

When I checked in 2 weeks ago I was here...

Now, after two weeks of stitching 1/2 hour in the morning (or so... there were a few days I didn't because of some shoulder issues...) I'm now here...

I am SO glad that I decided to work on it this way.  I usually go "whole hog" and then burn myself out really quickly, and I can't believe that just by working on it steadily day after day after day I've gotten so much done since the beginning of the year!!

January Progress on O Holy Night

Hi everyone!

Here's my January progress (up to today, anyway) on the Stoney Creek O Holy Night.  Here's where I started...

And here it what it looked like after my stitching time this morning...

I'm going to continue with the half hour stitching in the morning, because that has worked really well.  I can't wait to see how much I'll have gotten done by next month's update!!

My Choice and January Goal

Hi everyone!  I'm excited about this SAL, because I REALLY want to finish this piece!  It's by Stoney Creek and called "O Holy Night Nativity".  I started it in 2012, I think, and got this far...

Here's my plan.  I want to work on it for a half hour each day in the daylight.  It is stitched on Lugana and I really don't enjoy stitching on evenweaves as much as the next guy, so I think working on it in the morning will be helpful, rather than at night when the light isn't as good.  The pattern is spread over six pages and I started in the middle to the left of center.  For January I"ll be working on page three -- the page Mary's head and the arch are on.
