Get It Done SAL 2015: Eenie, meenie, minee,.........
I thought I was being clever the other day and had 2 projects I wanted to work on here, but when I went through my projects I found I had more and can't decide. I will decide, take pictures and post the results in the next day or two. Like a few others, I will have two on the go but a side list of others I want to either finish or make an ornament a month ready for this christmas. Yes, can already say this Christmas as it is now 2015. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.
Hello
Hello everyone! I finally decided on a new year start. It was a tough decision. I have so much kitted up. Here is what I decided on.
It is A New Day by My Big Toe designs. I will be using the called for colors by Weeks Dye Works and a silk by The Thread Gatherer and I am using Antique white Belfast linen.
I am looking forward to what everyone is doing!

My Choice and January Goal
Hi everyone! I'm excited about this SAL, because I REALLY want to finish this piece! It's by Stoney Creek and called "O Holy Night Nativity". I started it in 2012, I think, and got this far...
Here's my plan. I want to work on it for a half hour each day in the daylight. It is stitched on Lugana and I really don't enjoy stitching on evenweaves as much as the next guy, so I think working on it in the morning will be helpful, rather than at night when the light isn't as good. The pattern is spread over six pages and I started in the middle to the left of center. For January I"ll be working on page three -- the page Mary's head and the arch are on.

Sooooo Many from Which to Choose
Heavens I am spoiled for choice to pick a big project I really want to get done in 2015! But here goes.....
I would really like to finish ByGone Stitches' One Nation flag--
It is for my shop owner and I really ought to finish it sooner rather than later.
Thanks for the opportunity!

So Friendly Stitchers....are we having fun yet? LOL!! Thank you, Maureen, for kicking things off! As I mentioned before, I've decided to pick two that I truly want to finish this year. First off is a kit I picked up during my anniversary trip. I guess this may be the only way I'll get to see Northern Lights! LOL!!
And the second is a project I've had hanging around for ages. I've had the material and all the patterns for years now and I decided it's time that it saw the light of day. There are 13 parts to this pattern, the border (which can be found for free online here), and 12 other smaller charts that represent months. My hope is to finish the border in January, then two of the small individual charts a month so that I finish well before the year is finished. I love the saying....
"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break." - Chinese proverb
The saying is meaningful to me because it reminds me of people I've met through unusual circumstances, people who I have come to love as family. A few of them are part of the "Friendly Stitcher's Yahoo Group". So...let the year of getting it done begin! I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Years! *Hugs*

A sort of kind of new start.......
Thanks to Deb for getting the blog up and running.......as usual I am bending the rules, lol........instead of a completely new start my project is going to be the continuation of Anniversaries of the Heart begun in mumble 20mumblety......I will have a sort of new start as I will begin with March next Thursday then double back when no one is looking and finish January and February......that's the plan, anyway!
Hope I have all the threads back in Michigan! I am in Wyoming, babysitting while the rest of the family are skiing! I went snow shoeing yesterday, great fun!

I hope I don't sound greedy...
But I've chosen two projects...because I have two I really want to finish. I will post pictures soon! I can't wait to see what everyone else will be doing!
It's almost a new year, and my friends and I thought it would be fun to pick one large project to stitch and finish in the year 2015. To help encourage one another, we hope to post pictures periodically and set goals to help finish within the year. We hope to start on January 1st. With wishes of health and good stitches!
