Busy stitching weekend

Hi Everybody!

Just a quickie update on Aurora Cabin...here are before and after pictures and one close up of the cabin (after HOURS of backstitching).  I'm so excited to show what I've accomplished this weekend!

I hope you all had a productive weekend!   I just want to congratulation Meari on the progress on her Japanese Garden.  It's just lovely, Meari, you must be so excited at how much you've gotten done!

 

Meari's Japanese Garden Update 2/18/16

I know what you're thinking:  "She *just* posted 10 days ago. What's up with that?!"  I realized I hadn't taken it off the scroll frame since 2013.  So it was time....

Figured out why it's not been off the lap stand. I have to dismantle the entire thing to get the scrolls off!  I probably won't be showing another full photo until I'm finished with the stitching.
 

Jumping on the Bandwagon...

First of all I want to thank Meari for posting again in this blog.  I don't mind carrying on this year if the rest of you would like to.  I still haven't finished Aurora Cabin, but I hope to finish this year!  I'm hoping to stitch on this on Sundays, so here is what I've done so far.

I've also added another project I hope to finish this year.  Here is a Needlework Casket I found in this book of Sampler and Antique Needlework volume one.  There are 5 panels, and so far I've only worked on the top portion.  Here is what I've done so far. 

Thanks again, Meari, for giving me a nudge to get started being "accountable" again!

Last time, I had finished the lower left corner.  I've moved to the lower right one.  Slow progress, but progress nonetheless.
