It didn't get 'done' but progress was made.

During the latter part of 2015, work and family commitments meant that stitching had to take a back seat so I didn't achieve my 'Get it Done SAL 2015' goal but as the two pictures below show, some progress was made.

Further progress on Alpine Seasons Garden

I'm slowly making my way around the mountain forest border.

There is some metallic thread in this corner section and I love the way it catches the light.

I'm back with Alpine Seasons Garden

It's hard to believe that I haven't stitched on this since the end of January. However, it is only now that I feel able to concentrate on it again. I'm expecting slow progress on this next section of Alpine Seasons Garden. It is solid cross stitch with a lot of thread changes. I only managed to stitch most of the bottom right hand corner over the weekend.

Alpine Seasons Garden - 25 January 2015

Well, I'm glad to say that I feel that I've made some good progress on Alpine Seasons this week. I've just got to finish the backstitch around the Rhodes stitches (only 2.5 sides of the octagon) and I'll be moving onto the seasonal fir trees. I'm looking forward to getting onto this next section. I'm using the recommended silk threads on this project and they are lovely.

Alpine Seasons Garden - 18 January 2015

I didn't stitch as much on this last week as I had originally planned as other things came along. Sound familiar? :)
I am slowly filling in the outer border. The fabric is quite creased but I don't want to keep ironing it all the time in case I distort it. Is it possible to do that?

Alpine Seasons Garden as at 11 January

Well, I've made some progress on Alpine Seasons Garden during this past week, which I'm pleased with. I've completed the two row outline of the outer border and I've started to fill it.
I'm  working on other stitching and knitting as well as this because I don't want to tire of working on it, so I imagine that the level of progress might vary alot from week to week.

My 2015 Get it done project

My decision was very easy. In mid 2011, I started Chatelaine's 'Alpine Seasons Garden', made good progress on it in 2012 and it has hardly been touched since. So for 2015, my goal is to complete all the stitching and to get as much as I can of the beading done.
Here is my Chatelaine at 31 December 2014. Looking forward to posting my progress in 2015.
