Table Runner finished
In 2009 I got a design from http://novalee02.over-blog.com/ that I put on each end of a table runner. I finished it as of Monday. Here it is.

All Will be Well.......it will GET DONE!
Good....thanks for posting, DJ, I need some encouragement.......lovely though the giveaway is, I'm not going to enter but........as usual......needing the said encouragement......I'm bending the rules! A few days before the end of June I wrote out my goals for the coming month in the sweet notebook that Miss Frances gifted me and....here they are.......
July Goals - one so far achieved! |
The Drawn Thread Calendar of Flowers? (oh dear, I've forgotten!) belonging to Frances |
As to the rest, I've chosen the Gifted Gorgeousness choice AND will remember (fingers crossed) to post on the 15th........the chart was a gift from Miss Joyce (also of this blog, lol) in an FS Secret Santa exchange.
Cottage Garden Samplings June's Honeysuckle |
The cushion will be hemmed, I'll rescue the sampler from the basket of doom and decide on a Smalls SAL and pin myself down regarding the next Round Robin choice, and as they say in my country......Bob will be my mother's brother!
I'll be back........with Everything Accomplished - of course I will............
Wow it's been awhile
Thanks for the reminder DJ. It has been a long time since I posted. I have become addicted to one of my HAED's. Train of Dreams has had me in its clutches since the end of May. Usually I switch projects every couple of weeks or so. Here is my starting photo in May and where I am right now.
I am hoping to have a page finish by the end of this week.

Progress? Um...not so much...
Hi everybody!
I am sorry I haven't been around much, I'm hoping to do better now that things have slowed down a bit. I haven't had much progress on Aurora Cabin...though I have done a wee bit more than the last time I posted. All the confetti stitching is taking a toll...but hopefully I will get back into it soon. Here's my progress so far.
I'm hoping with this new incentive we'll all get a renewed interest in "getting it done"!

July Giveaway
I'm sorry I've been neglectful lately, but I think I've gone back now and commented on the posts I've missed. I haven't given up on you guys, just had a busy few months. Dorrie sure has gone to town on her pieces, let's give her a round of applause shall we?
Since we are having a Christmas in July exchange on Friendly Stitcher's Yahoo Group, I thought this pattern would be a lovely giveaway for our group here. I love how each one of these could be made into an ornament on it's own (and ALMOST chose one of these as my exchange piece but found something different). So....I'm going to give this to the person who makes the most progress on their chosen project and at the end of the month, whoever has made the most progress (and there will be a vote by all the members of our group here) will get the pattern. How does that sound?
Here is what you'll be trying for...
And here are the "rules". Post a picture some time this week of the piece you've chosen as your progress piece. During the last week of the month take another picture. The first of August, post a comment on the piece you are voting for with only one word, VOTE. (You can also post a different comment on the piece itself, but I will only be counting the word vote as a vote...gee I hope that makes sense...LOL!!) Any questions, please ask. And to all who choose to participate...GOOD LUCK!!

July Update
Where is everybody? Why is no one posting pictures of all their great finishes?? I feel so alone here all by myself. LOL Anyway, I worked on three projects in June. First I finished the last three ornaments from Victoria Sampler's "12 Days". That would be ornaments #10, 11, and 12 (the bottom three in this picture. I'm really excited about getting these completed and off my FUPpy list. I think they turned out really cute and am looking forward to seeing them hanging on our holiday tree.
Next, I worked on Victoria Sampler's "Gingerbread House" and started getting the various pieces put together. I got fabric glued to mat board for all the inside walls……
and got the underside of one half of the roof glued, including making the scissor pocket, bought some wool felt for the needle/pin keep and sewed that onto the underside of the other half of the roof. Next I need to glue the fabric to the mat board.
Finally, while waiting for the glue to dry (since my brick will only cover one or two pieces at a time), I managed to put a few more stitches in the Viking ship border.
So I think June turned out to be a pretty successful month. For July I'm going to continue working on the Gingerbread House and hopefully get it finished. How is everyone else doing?
