2015 - can this sampler happen?

As usual, I have too many pieces on the go - smaller ones, as well as some biggies.  It's the biggies I'm concerned about here.  The main one is a Scarlet Letter sampler, Janet Burnet 1830.  I'd started on Janet, then decided to change the fabric, but I'm still not sure about my choice.  Here's Janet's picture, from the SL website, and then my photo of the silks and fabric (Lambswool) with my trial of the border colour on the linen.

So my first decision is the fabric choice (the other possibility is a Lakeside Vintage Light Exemplar).  Once I've decided for sure, I'll stitch the outside border (probably count about 13 times, stitch once ....)   I'm a slow stitcher, and with other projects calling out for attention too, I don't know if I can  finish  this one by the end of 2015, but I'll sure make a commitment to do my best on it.

  1. Those are beautiful colours in that sampler. I agree with you that you want to make the right fabric choice. If you aren't happy with your fabric, it will take alot of the joy out of your stitching.

  5. Dianne, your sampler is absolutely gorgeous. SL has done it again! I agree that it has to be absolutely the right fabric. It's self defeating and probably creates an UFO! I can hardly wait to see your progress. Sally
